Promotional Video for Canadian Health Science Students |
Day on the Job – Learning about Beekeeping |
 This promotional video was produced for a health sciences student’s association, who’s members eventually become Canada’s next generation of doctors, nurses and other health practitioners, with solid connections to their peers across the country.All we were given for this project was a script. From there, we drafted up a basic storyboard, scouted out a location and spent a morning filming with our HD camera. Our shooting location featured an indoor waterfall so the audio from the camera was unusable. We went back to the studio and re-recorded the audio with a mic, and then spent an afternoon using the splice tool in Final Cut to match the new audio with the edited video. Once we got that done we added in our graphics and titles, and finished it off with some music and color corrected our footage. It was a challenging project, but one of the best short videos we’ve done – everything came out the way it was supposed to. |
 We produced this video for one of our clients, Little Wolf Apiaries. We spent a day on the job learning about beekeeping and learned how to extract honey. |

| Hows this for working on a deadline: We produced an entire team’s worth of hockey cards and team photo plaques for the sponsors in just a few hours! Our client was in a major rush but we stayed focus and didn’t cut corners; each photograph was colour corrected, and for the sponsorship photo plaques we separated the foreground from the background and added some blur to make them really pop. | One of our first graphic design projects was a series of posters for the YMCA to promote their Throwin’ the Horns concert series. These were a lot of fun and we used a combination of Photoshop and sometimes pen and ink to produce these. We even supported one of the shows by coming on as one of the performing artists, playing a set of cover songs and a few originals. |
